Liverpool host Aston Villa at Anfield in a huge Premier League clash.
Victory will see Liverpool stay top of the table, whilst Villa can go third with a win until Sunday afternoon.
Team News
Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns to report following their Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen.
Alisson (hamstring), Diogo Jota (rib), Federico Chiesa (knock) and Harvey Elliott (foot) remain sidelined.
Villa will again be without Ross Barkley and Matty Cash due to minor injuries, but have no fresh injury concerns following their Champions League defeat at Club Brugge.
When is Kick-Off?
Liverpool host Villa at Anfield on Saturday 9 November at 8pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven league meetings against Aston Villa (W5, D2).
- Villa have failed to win any of their last six visits to Liverpool at Anfield (D1, L5).
- Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has scored in two of his last three appearances at home to Villa.
- Three of Salah’s seven league goals for Liverpool this season has been scored at home.
- Morgan Rogers has scored in each of Villa’s last three away games in the top-flight.
Prediction
Sat top of the domestic league and having clinically hammered Bayer Leverkusen in European action with a mature if patiently executed game, Liverpool simply need to continue their momentum here.
Villa meanwhile were unlucky to lose to Club Brugge by a silly decision but they need to produce more energetic performances, especially if want to win here after their defensive meltdown at Tottenham last weekend.
I however don’t see Villa having enough to beat Liverpool on current form in their last two matches.
Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Aston Villa
