When the season began, some fans thought the New York Knicks would be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
And while they are definitely a good squad, they aren’t doing as well as people had hoped and hold a 4-5 record right now.
Speaking on “First Take”, Kendrick Perkins talked about his worry for the team.
He said his level of concern for the Knicks is “through the roof” and he doesn’t think they are built to go all the way this season and will have more success in the seasons ahead.

Perkins likes what he sees from New York’s offense and thinks they can be a real threat when it comes to scoring.
But winning the season requires great defense and the Knicks are sadly lacking in the department.
Of course, head coach Tom Thibodeau is working from a roster with a few injuries, most notably Mitchell Robinson.
That is hurting the team’s defense.
There are many things to like about this Knicks team, including the leadership of Jalen Brunson and the addition of Karl-Anthony Towns.
Perkins thinks the team will be a true championship contender in the next few seasons, but it’s too soon for them to achieve that level of success right now.
However, he could be proven wrong, especially with this unpredictable Eastern Conference.
Next up for the Knicks are the Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls, and Brooklyn Nets.
They could score a few wins during those games, improve their record, and maybe ease the worries of some fans.
