The Atlanta Falcons have lost three games in a row.
They have yet to score 18 points in that span, including a meltdown vs. the Denver Broncos.
That’s why, after watching Kirk Cousins throw four interceptions and zero touchdowns in the loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Colin Cowherd and John Middlekauff called for the Falcons to start Michael Penix Jr. next week (via The Volume).

Cousins has now thrown six picks in the last three weeks.
He’s thrown 13 interceptions this season.
The Falcons had been the best team in the NFC South this season, but they’re now in jeopardy of watching their division lead slide right through their fingers.
Granted, starting a rookie in Week 14 might not be a good decision, but if Cousins struggles out of the gate vs. the Minnesota Vikings, they might as well consider giving him a look.
They used a first-round pick to get Michael Penix Jr., so even though they didn’t give him a lot of playing time in the preseason, they might feel good about him going forward.
Penix has plenty of collegiate experience and might have the best arm in his class.
Even if the Falcons don’t turn to him at this point in the season, which would be understandable, one would think that there would be open competition for the starting quarterback spot in training camp.
The Vikings spent a lot of money to get Cousins to Georgia, but his time there might be short-lived.
