The Atlanta Falcons began this season as favorites to win the NFC South, but they sit with a mediocre 6-6 record after a Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Falcons have lost three games in a row and face a tough battle in Week 14 when they visit the Minnesota Vikings.
Heading toward that game, the Falcons made three roster moves.
“The Falcons have signed RB Elijah Dotson to the practice squad, per the team. K Riley Patterson and LB Tyreek Maddox-Williams have been released from the practice squad,” Marc Raimondi of ESPN wrote on X.

Dotson had six yards on four carries as a member of the Chargers last season and hasn’t played this season after Los Angeles waived him in late August.
Patterson has played for four teams in his four NFL seasons in the NFL, and has a career accuracy rate of 88.1 percent on field goals and 96.0 percent on extra points.
He is perhaps best remembered for making the game-winning kick during the wild-card round of the 2022 AFC playoffs to help the Jacksonville Jaguars defeat the Chargers after trailing 27-0 in the second quarter.
Maddox-Williams appeared in three games last season for the Arizona Cardinals, mostly on special teams.
The Falcons are tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for first place in the NFC South.
