Travis Hunter is about to take the NFL by storm, and he might be the most unique player entering the league in decades.
He just won the Heisman trophy for being a true two-way player, playing wide receiver and cornerback full-time for the Colorado Buffaloes.
He even beat Boise State superstar Ashton Jeanty, who had one of the most dominant seasons by a running back in college football history.
That’s why Brandon Walker of Barstool Sports believes Charles Woodson should’ve never won the Heisman.
Talking on his “Mostly Sports” podcast, the controversial pundit claimed that as much as “dumb*** Michigan fans” will try to cancel him for that take, Peyton Manning should’ve won the Heisman that year.
Should Charles Woodson’s Heisman have gone to Peyton Manning? @mostlysports

He argues that Woodson won the award for supposedly being an all-around player.
Yet, he only had a handful of catches as a wide receiver and some snaps on special teams, whereas Hunter has finally shown what a true all-around player looks like.
Of course, Manning did more than enough to win the trophy as well, being an absolute legend with the Tennessee Volunteers, but what’s done is done now.
Hunter is reportedly striving to play on both sides of the field full-time in the pros as well.
That’s almost unprecedented, and while some players did this in football’s early stages, the game has come a long way since then.
It remains to be seen whether he will be allowed to do so or whether his body can withstand that kind of burden, but it would definitely be a treat to watch.
