The Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers will suit up on Christmas Day, facing off against each other in the first of two contests on Wednesday.
The condensed preparation period has reduced the rest periods both teams could use to heal their wounds, potentially increasing the number of players who could miss out on this Week 17 contest.
That appears to be the case for two Chiefs players, according to the team’s official X account.
Both defensive back Chamarri Conner and offensive tackle D.J. Humphries will miss the Christmas Day game for Kansas City.
Chris Jones and Jawaan Taylor are questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Steelers.

Conner is a second-year player who is posting a strong sophomore season in the NFL.
Through 14 games, Conner has started eight contests, recording 72 tackles, four pass deflections, and two interceptions for the Chiefs.
As a rookie, Conner started seven of the 17 games he played, recording 36 tackles, one pass deflection, and one interception.
Humphries joined the Chiefs last month after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals in March.
The 2015 NFL Draft first-round selection had played for eight years with the Cardinals, starting all 98 games he participated in for the NFC West franchise.
Humphries has played in one game for the Chiefs this year, starting for Kansas City in the team’s 19-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The 30-year-old has made one Pro Bowl appearance during his nine-year career, earning that distinction following the 2021 NFL season.
In addition to Conner and Humphries, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones and offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor are questionable for Wednesday’s game.
