This will be an intriguing offseason around the NFL, with plenty of great coaches on the market looking for new gigs.
Cleveland Browns consultant Mike Vrabel, Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, former Seattle head coach Pete Carroll, and others are some of the biggest head-coaching names in this particular cycle.
According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, there could be six or seven head-coaching openings this offseason.
“If I had to project it this year, I would say you’ll probably get seven (openings). Six to seven,” Schefter said Thursday via “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“I said earlier this season that there would be 7-9 coaching changes..
If I had to project it right now my guess would be 6-7″ ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/2gCAUlG1IT

The Chicago Bears are already one team that will seek a new head coach this offseason after firing former head coach Matt Eberflus.
The New York Jets fired former head coach Robert Saleh earlier in the season.
A team like the Jacksonville Jaguars had a disappointing season, and Doug Pederson could not take the next step.
Other teams, such as the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, New York Giants, and Las Vegas Raiders, could be looking for a new head coach once the season ends.
It will be fascinating to see which coaches get interviews and which coaches ultimately end up getting the jobs.
Again, the big names are Mike Vrabel, Ben Johnson, and Pete Carroll.
Other possible candidates could be Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, and Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
