The New Orleans Pelicans are in awful shape and the rest of this season is basically a lost cause.
Because of that, the team has grown increasingly driven to make big trades in order to build some sort of future.
According to Bobby Marks, via Evan Sidery, the Pelicans have made finding a trade partner who will take Brandon Ingram a “top priority.”

Few people are surprised to hear this news coming out of New Orleans.
Last summer, one of the biggest NBA rumors was that Ingram would be leaving the Pelicans.
For his part, it sounded like Ingram wanted out as well and the parting of ways would be mutual.
Many Pelicans fans were shocked to see him in a New Orleans jersey when the new season began.
So far this year, he has averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.
He is still playing well but it’s clear the Pelicans are ready to move on from him.
But where will he go and which team will be willing to take on his contract?
Additionally, what other trades will the Pelicans commit to?
There have been rumors about them doing a lot at the deadline, with others, including Zion Williamson, possibly leaving.
This could be a very busy period for the Pelicans.
It might start with Ingram taking off, but it could involve other players too.
The Pelicans will remain hard at work trying to find the right trade partner, but recent history has shown letting go of Ingram isn’t easy.
