Things were much different for the Chicago Bears three weeks ago.
They were heading into their matchup with the Washington Commanders riding a three-game winning streak, and feeling like they could make some noise in the NFC North.
Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels didn’t necessarily have their best individual performances, but fans were excited to watch the No. 1 and No. 2 picks go head-to-head.
It looked like the Bears were going to win at one point, but the Commanders found a way to claim victory with a last-second Hail Mary heave from Daniels.
This loss was heartbreaking for the Bears and their fans, and it kick-started a three-game losing streak.
While this team had some energy and momentum a few weeks ago, they do not look the same heading into Week 11.
Doug Gottlieb talked about the current state of the team in a recent conversation shared via FOX Sports Radio on X.
“There’s no question that how the Bears lost to the Commanders affected them… It’s like the bottom fell out,” Gottlieb said.

Gottlieb indicated that the Bears’ struggles haven’t gotten any better lately, and they’re coming off a blowout loss to the New England Patriots.
Momentum can be a major advantage in the NFL, and once the Bears lost theirs, it’s been difficult for them to get it back.
This team is still young, and they are led by a promising quarterback in Williams.
There’s still time for them to turn things around, but they’ll have to get it done quickly.
