The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, and they are in a great position to do so with the No. 1 seed in the AFC all but locked up following an impressive 13-1 start that has featured an unfathomable amount of close victories that have made fans wonder if this team is up to some sort of devil magic.
Despite having the best record in the league, many fans and analysts aren’t fully bought in due to all the close calls, and one analyst recently made a surprising prediction about what awaits this team in the postseason.
On ESPN’s “Unsportsmanlike Radio,” analyst Michelle Smallmon said “I think the Chiefs are going to be one and done in the playoffs.”

Smallmon brought up how she had the same take last year because she wasn’t impressed with how the Chiefs were playing heading into the postseason, but she is doubling down and running the same take back again this year.
She highlighted how the team’s record is amazing, but with Patrick Mahomes banged up, she reiterated that this team hasn’t been impressive in its wins and could be severely hampered if Mahomes isn’t at full strength.
With the way the playoffs are currently lined up, the Chiefs would likely face off against either the Houston Texans or one of the Wild Card teams in their first playoff game, which will most likely be one of the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers, or Denver Broncos.
The Ravens are obviously the scariest opponent of that group, so as inflammatory as this take may seem, Smallmon could be onto something.
