Analyst Names The Biggest Problem With Cowboys’ Offense

The Dallas Cowboys’ offense has struggled for most of the season.

With Dak Prescott set to miss a while with an injury and Cooper Rush taking over, things aren’t likely to improve much.

Personnel aside, whoever they line up at quarterback will have a tough time getting anything going with this team.

At least, that’s how NFL analyst Greg Cosell feels.

In his latest appearance on the “Ross Tucker Podcast,” Cosell pointed out that the Cowboys’ biggest offensive issue is their lack of a running game.

Truth be told, this is far from a surprise.

The Cowboys lost some key offensive line players in the offseason and did almost nothing to address that issue.

Their running game wasn’t particularly elite last year with Tony Pollard either, but in hindsight, letting him go and not finding him a suitable replacement wasn’t the wisest decision.

The Cowboys brought back Ezekiel Elliott, the same player they had moved on from, who is now a year older.

Their running back committee didn’t feature any big names, and their decision not to try to get Derrick Henry looks more questionable by the day.

This team used to pride itself on its ability to run the football, but those days seem to be long gone.

As pass-happy as the modern era is, establishing the run continues to be one of the most significant factors behind success, and trusting Prescott to win games for them hasn’t usually worked out.
