Bart Scott Reveals Possible Destination For Myles Garrett

The Cleveland Browns are staring at a crossroads this offseason, weighing two distinct paths forward.

Their current trajectory has yielded minimal success, with just one playoff appearance without a win in the past four seasons.

The alternative? A bold reset that could involve selecting quarterback Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

They also could add more assets by trading key defensive stars, including Myles Garrett.

The conversation around Garrett’s future with the Browns gained momentum recently when former NFL linebacker Bart Scott shared his insights on the situation.

Scott believes that without solving their quarterback dilemma, now made more difficult with another injury suffered by Deshaun Watson, the Browns might need to consider trading their defensive cornerstone.

Yet, even bringing in veteran Kirk Cousins would only offer a temporary solution to their long-term quarterback needs.

Scott specifically highlighted the Chicago Bears as a potential landing spot for Garrett.

“What would the Bears give up? A team that got a lot of stuff to give a dominant player like that to pair with some of the good young players they have. They had like $80 million underneath the cap,” Scott said, via ESPN Radio.

Garrett’s credentials speak volumes, with four seasons with at least 14.0 sacks, a feat that puts him in elite company.

Scott suggests that the Browns could follow successful trade blueprints similar to the New York Jets’ deal involving Jamal Adams or the Seattle Seahawks’ trade of Russell Wilson.

A Garrett trade could potentially net the Browns significant draft capital and young talent, helping jump-start a rebuild.

The decision looming over the Browns’ front office carries massive implications.

Garrett’s dominance as a pass rusher makes him the type of player who could command a substantial return, potentially accelerating a roster overhaul with young, cost-controlled talent.
