The Milwaukee Bucks continue to free-fall.
More worryingly, it seems like they’re not prepared for their opponents.
They’ve gotten off to some slow starts, digging themselves into huge holes they’re not able to dig their way out later in the game.
That was the case again in their most recent loss, this time to the New York Knicks.
Following the defeat, Bucks coach Doc Rivers admitted that he could’ve done some things better to start the game (via New York Basketball).
Rivers admitted that he shouldn’t have started Giannis Antetokounmpo on Karl-Anthony Towns, who scored 27 points in the first half.
“We didn’t want Giannis to start the game on KAT. That was a mistake obviously”

The Bucks later turned to Brook Lopez for the final 24 minutes of the game, and Towns scored five points in the remainder of the game.
Of course, that was also circumstantial because the game was already out of reach, but still, Lopez did a better job of smothering him.
Antetokounmpo is a former Defensive Player of the Year who’s shown that he’s capable of guarding one through five.
Then again, having him against a seven-footer while you have another great defensive seven-footer on the floor might not be the wisest decision.
Rivers has drawn plenty of criticism for his coaching for most of his career, and that has only gotten worse throughout the course of the past five years or so.
And given his recent history of struggles, especially in the playoffs and with such a slow start to the season, this might be his last chance to coach in the league.
