Bronny James hasn’t been in the NBA for three months, but he’s been one of the most talked-about subjects for weeks.

While some fans celebrate that LeBron James got to play with his firstborn, the Los Angeles Lakers have also drawn plenty of backlash for apparent nepotism.

After five appearances, the Lakers finally sent him to their G-League team so he could work on his game.

Notably, his G-League debut wasn’t particularly impressive, either.

As Legion Hoops on X pointed out, Bronny finished the game with six points, four assists, three rebounds, two steals, one block, and five turnovers.

He shot 20% from the floor and was 0-for-5 from three-point range.

Unsurprisingly, fans quickly took to social media to poke fun at these numbers.

Granted, we’re talking about the No. 55 pick, so there should be no expectations for a player taken so long in the NBA Draft.

Then again, given the way his camp handled this situation, it’s understandable that some people weren’t moved by his narrative of playing with his father.

Add his big contract – significantly better than the average second-rounders – to the mix, and things are more complicated.

It’s still early, and he should only get better, but so far, the numbers and the eye test have shown that Bronny could’ve benefitted from staying in college for a little longer.
