The Chicago Bears have failed with Caleb Williams’ development this season.
Then again, he hasn’t done himself many favors, either.
It’s not unusual for rookie quarterbacks to struggle.
Being the No. 1 pick usually means not playing for a good team.
And while that’s not the case for Williams, roster-wise, he wouldn’t be the first promising prospect to go through something like this.
What cannot happen, however, is having him pouting, rolling his eyes, and throwing tantrums on the sidelines.
That’s why former NFL star James Jones believes he needs to ‘mature mentally.’
On Tuesday’s edition of FOX’s “The Facility,” Jones argued that body language is crucial.
“Caleb Williams needs to mature mentally,” Jones said.

Williams, being the leader and franchise player he is, needs to lead by example.
He doesn’t like what he sees from him, not only on the field but off it, as it doesn’t send the right message.
Granted, he’s a young player, so he still has a lot to learn.
Most of these star players are used to winning from high school to college.
They get frustrated once that’s not the case in the pros.
It’s nice to know that he cares and wants to win at all costs, which is what you want from your franchise player.
Even so, he’s the face of the franchise, and as such, it’s also his job to uplift everybody around him and not look beaten or overwhelmed on the sidelines.
