Although the Atlanta Falcons fell a bit short of expectations this season by going 8-9 and missing the playoffs, the immediate future seems to be bright for them.
Rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who started their final three games, showed a bit of promise, and they have several young offensive skill players who are quickly coming into their own.
Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts wasn’t chosen to be in this season’s Pro Bowl, but he turned in another productive season with 47 receptions, 602 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
He achieved a rare and peculiar statistical feat by scoring one, two, three and four touchdowns in his first, second, third and fourth seasons in the NFL, respectively, per NFL on CBS.

The Falcons weren’t one of the league’s better offensive teams, but one has to figure that if they get strong play at the quarterback position moving forward, they could become a dangerous team.
None of their offensive skill players were chosen to be in the Pro Bowl, but wide receiver Drake London emerged as a Pro Bowl-caliber wide receiver with 100 catches, 1,271 yards and nine touchdowns.
Running back Bijan Robinson, the No. 8 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, broke out in 2024 with 1,456 rushing yards, 431 receiving yards and 15 total touchdowns, with 14 of them coming on the ground.
During the offseason, Atlanta signed wideout Darnell Mooney as a free agent, and he contributed 64 catches, 992 yards and five touchdowns this season.
They also have some studs on defense, which truly makes them a team to keep an eye on moving forward.
