As Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season wraps up on Monday with a game between the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams, the race for the MVP award is heating up, and there is one man who has emerged as the favorite to win the award, at least so far.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was last season’s MVP, is playing even better so far this year, and he had a dazzling performance on Thursday against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
While both quarterbacks had four touchdown passes and no interceptions, Jackson was more accurate with his passing and didn’t get sacked once, and his team escaped an entertaining shootout with a 35-34 win.
Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys said that Jackson is the obvious favorite right now for the NFL regular season MVP award, per Bleacher Report.
“Lamar [Jackson] should be the clear front-runner for MVP,” said Parsons.

Through 10 games, Jackson has thrown for 2,669 yards and a league-high 24 touchdowns while throwing only two interceptions, and he’s leading everyone with a 123.2 passer rating and 77.0 QBR.
He has benefitted from the arrival of star running back Derrick Henry, who is the NFL’s leader right now in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, while second-year wide receiver Zay Flowers may be taking another step forward with his production.
Flowers had caught 50 passes for 688 yards and three touchdowns through 10 games, while fellow wideout Rashod Bateman has contributed 501 yards and four touchdowns on 31 receptions.
The Ravens are on the doorstep of a potential AFC North title with a 7-3 record, and they may be the league’s best hope of ending the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl dynasty, at least temporarily.
