The Tampa Bay Buccaneers surprised some people this season by finishing with a 10-7 record and claiming first place in the NFC South.
They did so by winning six of their last seven games, and wide receiver Mike Evans played a large role in that strong finish.
With 1,004 receiving yards, he notched his 11th season with at least 1,000 yards, which means he has reached that mark in every one of his NFL seasons.
The veteran also received a very special honor following the achievement.
“Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has declared Jan. 10, 2025 as Mike Evans Day throughout the entire state to honor the Buccaneers receiver and future Hall of Famer,” Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team wrote on X.

Evans tied the NFL record for the most consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons, joining all-time great Jerry Rice.
His production became even more vital after fellow wideout Chris Godwin was lost for the season with an ankle injury suffered in Week 7.
Evans stepped up his game and went on to have two contests with more than 100 receiving yards and four games with at least eight receptions.
His has been aided by quarterback Baker Mayfield, who put together another outstanding year with 4,500 passing yards and 41 passing touchdowns while completing 71.4 percent of his attempts.
Tampa Bay will begin the playoffs at home against the Washington Commanders, and it looks to be a game that could go either way.
