The New York Jets headed into the 2024 NFL regular season believing they could be a team in the AFC that would be able to compete for a Super Bowl title, with superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers healthy and back under center for the storied franchise.
Unfortunately for New York, it has been more of the same this season in comparison to last season, with Zach Wilson leading the charge under center, as Rodgers clearly isn’t the same dominant player of old, and the team itself hasn’t figured out how to play together to get the best results on the football field.
The Jets will head into Week 11 of the 2024 campaign sporting a record of 3-7 after getting crushed by Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10 on the road at State Farm Stadium.
It seems that no matter what drastic moves get made this season, whether it be firing head coach Robert Saleh or trading for superstar wide receiver Davante Adams, the results are the same on the football field, which doesn’t bode well for the second half of the 2024 campaign.
On The Mike Francesa Podcast, Francesa didn’t hold back his thoughts on the current state of the Jets, as he believes the team is “badly coached” right now.
“This team is so badly coached it is scary,” Francesa said. “It’s almost hard to fathom how badly put together they are.”

Although the Jets have a relatively easy schedule in the final stretch of the 2024 NFL regular season, the damage might already be done in terms of the team’s chances of clinching a playoff spot in the AFC moving forward.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with this underachieving team moving forward and what it could mean for moves made in the offseason.
