There is a tight race for first place in the NFC West, and despite suffering through injuries this season, especially on offense, the Los Angeles Rams are in the thick of that race.
With a 6-6 record, they’re just one game behind the first-place Seattle Seahawks, and they’re coming off a win against the New Orleans Saints in Week 13.
The Rams have had plenty of struggles defensively this season, so they recently added some depth in their secondary.

Forbes was the No. 16 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft by the Washington Commanders, and as a rookie had 11 passes defended, two tackles for loss, one interception and 38 total tackles (35 solo).
He has had a disappointing 2024 season so far, and the Commanders waived him after he appeared in six games for them, posting seven total tackles and one interception.
The Rams rank just 21st in points allowed per game and 23rd in total yards allowed, and they have yielded more than 420 total yards of offense four times this season.
They will host the Buffalo Bills, who are on a seven-game winning streak and may be the best team in the AFC right now, in Week 14, and have key divisional games in Weeks 17 and 18 against the Arizona Cardinals and Seahawks, respectively.
Those final two games will likely determine whether the Rams will make the playoffs, as the second-place team in the NFC West likely won’t have a strong enough record to reach the postseason.
