The NFL MVP race is heating up with just a couple of weeks to go before the end of the regular season.
It appears as though it could come down to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson or Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
ESPN analyst Ryan Clark said he believes Jackson deserves the award for a second straight season.
“The hardest reason to pull it away from Lamar Jackson is this is a guy that’s already won two MVPs and this is his best performance yet as a pro,” Clark said on “Get Up.”

The NFL MVP award has certainly turned into a quarterback honor over the last handful of seasons.
This season likely won’t be any different despite Barkley having a historic campaign for the Eagles.
The fact that Jackson has already won MVP twice could hurt him in this particular race because there are times when voters like to see somebody new win the award.
Allen has never won the award and his numbers are just as good as Jackson’s this season.
The Bills star has 37 total touchdowns and just six interceptions.
There is a very real chance that he also throws for more than 4,000 yards for the fifth consecutive season.
What could also play into his favor is that the Bills are 12-3 and are the only team to have defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.
But this race is far from over with the playoffs just around the corner.
