The Portland Trail Blazers could be very busy in the weeks ahead as the NBA trade deadline gets closer.
They are currently the 13th team in the West with a 9-18 record.
Their chances of turning things around this season are slim, so they are open to making trades and carving up the roster for the sake of the team’s future.
According to Evan Sidery, the Blazers are “fielding trade offers” for big man Duop Reath.
Reath is under contract through the 2025–26 season and is inexpensive at just $2 million a year.
For a low price point, a team could sign Reath and benefit from his size.

Under contract through 2025-26 at only $2 million annually, any contending team in need of center depth could utilize Reath’s skill set.

Reath has spent his first two seasons in the NBA with the Blazers, averaging 8.0 points and 3.2 rebounds during his 16.0 minutes per game.
This season, Reath has only played in 13 games for an average of just 6.4 minutes.
He hasn’t started in a single game either, which shows how hard it is for him to earn a spot in the team’s rotation.
But maybe that wouldn’t be the case with a different squad.
Reath could perhaps show off his skills, grow as a player, and do more for another team.
Maybe a change of scenery is exactly what Reath needs.
Signing him could be a smart move because his contract is light and easy to work with.
There are many upsides that could come from Reath and not a lot of risk, which is exactly what many teams desire this time of year.
His time with the Blazers could be coming to an end, but Reath might be on to bigger and better things soon.
